Plank, Squats, And Lunges, Oh My!

Let me start by painting a picture for you and tell me if this sounds familiar. You signed in for YSculpt after work. You made it to class on time. It’s an actual miracle that you beat traffic, found parking, and brought your good pair of leggings.

The Warm-Up:

The warm-up starts and you think, “so far so good, except for this kneeling thing...squats? Oh, God, is it too late to run out?" You look around the room, everyone is going at the same pace and you feel like you're off rhythm. You stay. You press on. 

The Core:

Here come the weights. “Dumb bells?” you wonder, “Pscht, dumb is right! Wait, why is everyone sitting? Oh no...core? I haven’t seen my core in years!” You grimace. You hear the instructor say, 'let's bring the heat!' You sweat. 

The Cool Down:

Finally, you’re done. Time for a stretch. You reach for your toes. You feel your heart rate slow down. You breathe. 

The Reflection:

The Details:

Fitness Essentials  will cover basic alignment for standard movements you’ll likely see in YFit, YSculpt, YExpress, and Floor Barre so you can get your sweat on in these classes feeling confident and empowered.  

It’s not as intimidating as it sounds. Moves like squats, lunges, and planks are extremely functional movement patterns that you’re probably already using in your everyday life. (Hello, single leg squat as you get in and out of your car!) And hey, decreasing your risk for injury both in class and in life is another awesome perk of this workshop because knowledge is power right!? 

The Follow Up: 

This workshop is a fitness sampler that will leave you sweaty, educated, and signing up for your next workout as soon as you walk out the door! I might also tell a cheesy joke or two during this workshop and if that’s not the cherry on top, then maybe it's knowing that this workshop is being offered for only $5!
