1. Arrive at least 15 minutes before class. No latecomers.
Reserving a class online can guarantee your spot, but you still need to arrive and check in at least 10 minutes before the class starts or your place may be given to another guest, especially if it is a popular or busy class with a wait list. Please also note that once a class is started, guests will not be able to sign in or enter late. This encourages a peaceful classroom environment, showing respect for the experience of fellow guests.
2. Cell phones are not permitted in yoga rooms.
Many of our guests enjoy a quiet and meditative atmosphere so please be respectful and turn your phone off. In fact, while you are relaxing and unwinding in-centre, is best to leave your (turned-off) phone in your locker.
3. Respect allergies and sensitivities to perfume by going scent-free.
Since our centres are a place where deep breathing is a requirement, please refrain from using perfume or other strongly scented products before or during your visit. Instead, pack your scent in your bag for a spritz once you have left our centre.
4. Remove your shoes
Remove your shoes when you enter the centre and secure your belongings. Use the lockers or valet systems provided.
5. Keep the peace
Taking a moment to "read the atmosphere" can come in handy when entering the yoga room. Walk in quietly, gauge what others are doing and err on the side of silence if you are not sure whether you should chat with your friend. Place your mat and belongings down gently - your neighbour will thank you for being mindful. The infrared sauna is a silent space; come sit down in the lounge for a cup of tea if you’d like to chat with your friends.
6. Make room for others when placing down your mat.
If the room is starting to fill up, please be welcoming and proactive about moving your mat over to accommodate a neighbour.
7. Leave it tidy
Put your props away after class, wipe down your bike, and wipe the floor if necessary.
8. Be smart about multiple classes
If you want to double up and take two classes in one day, make sure you have a minimum of 15 minutes between classes. Attending two classes that start and end at the same time creates disruption for fellow guests. We do not recommend doing intense, dehydrating classes like YHot and YRide back-to-back, rather, pair YHot with Yin, or YRide with Pilates Fusion or Hatha for balance.
9. Sauna sense
For your personal health and safety, limit your sauna sessions to 20 minutes at a time.
