Yoga has been a part of my life for going on thirteen years now, and my practice has helped me with such things as getting a Master's degree in English Literature, doing stints with local dance troupes, hosting a radio show on poetry, and surviving the trials and tribulations of being human. Which is, of course, an ongoing project! With training in the alignment principles and heart-centred philosophy of Anusara yoga, the gentle flow of Hatha, and the often intense exploration of Yin, my classes are dynamic and flowing, challenging but gentle, and never without a sense of humour--nothing loosens up the body quite like a smile. My classes are a safe space to explore the body and mind and empower ourselves enough to get the creative juices flowing and open up. Yoga helps us heal and get stronger while connecting the mind with the body and the self with the community. It also feels good, and the mat is my favourite place to play. So come play with me!
