HEAL OTHERS WHILE PRACTICING ASANA

Thursday April 22, 6:30-8:30pm - Highgate

Drawing from Indian and Tibetan traditions, Reema will guide you through exercises and visualization. In addition to a challenging and dynamic vinyasa flow, this session will include a short discussion on how to awaken kundalini, become younger and heal others while engaging in a meditative asana practice.

8-LIMB VINYASA

Friday April 23, 6:30-8:30pm - Northshore Elements

Reema will incorporate Kriyas, Asana, Meditation, and Mantra into this dynamic, challenging and meditative asana-based class. Discover some of the most important (and rarely taught) exercises in hatha yoga. This includes Nauli Kriya and various breathing exercises to cleanse the inner channels. The heart of the session will involve a dynamic and challenging asana sequence. The class is suited for all levels.

BURN NEGATIVE KARMA WHILE PRACTICING ASANA

Saturday April 24, 1:30pm-3:30pm - Highgate

We all face challenges on this path of manifesting our dreams. Sometimes, it is simply a matter of ‘tough karma.' Join Reema as she guides you through a dynamic sequence of asana while sharing Yogic techniques designed to burn negative karma before it plays a role in our lives.

MANTRA: INNER & OUTER METHODS

Saturday April 24, 8:00-10:00pm - Flow Wellness

This unique evening of sound and breath work will include mantra as well as pranayama exercises specifically designed to clear our inner channels. This session also includes a discussion on the essence of the Yoga Scriptures and the ways the philosophy relates to spiritual practices worldwide. Reema will also lead us through several Sanskrit Chants, introducing us to her debut album, Truth Love Creation.

SKY DANCE: A STRONG AND FLUID ASANA SEQUENCE

Sunday April 25, 9:30-11:30am - Flow Wellness

Experience a beautiful flow of postures drawing from Classical Indian and Tibetan Asana sequences as well as Indian and Chinese Martial Arts. Today's sequence will also include segments of the oldest known asana series created by a woman, Vimlashri, also known as Lady Niguma, 1000 years ago in North India- a challenging and graceful flow.

PRANAYAMA, PHILOSOPHY, MANTRA

Sunday April 25, 3:30-5:30pm - Richmond

Time with these breathing techniques, which comprise the classical Ashtanga Pranayama Sequence, as taught by Sri Krishnamacharya, will take your Asana and Meditation practice to new heights. What you learn in this session is a lifetime practice. You will learn how to gently incorporate pranayama in your current practice and also how to intensify it as your lung capacity and concentration grow. This session also includes a discussion on the essence of the Yoga Scriptures and the ways the philosophy relates to spiritual practices worldwide. Reema will also lead us through several Sanskrit Chants, introducing us to her debut album,Truth Love Creation.

ABOUT REEMA DATTA
Reema first learned yoga practice, philosophy and ayurvedic cooking from her family.  She has trained with spiritual leaders throughout the world and has been teaching workshops and teacher trainings since 2003. She is co-author of the book, Sacred Sanskrit Words for Yoga, Chant and Meditation and her debut mantra CD, Truth Love Creation, was released by Nutone Music.  Reema runs the Usha Yoga Foundation, which brings yoga to marginalized communities worldwide.

Reema blends her experiences learning yoga in India and the West with classes that are physically challenging and meditative.   Born into a family of yogis, her teachings are influenced by her family as well as Sri Dharma Mittra, Tibetan Heart Yoga, Ashtanga, and various forms of  Vinyasa.
