I started practicing yoga because I saw a calmness in yogis that I wanted to experience. When I practice, I've had to learn to put away expectations of what asana will bring me each day. I've been able to access a place that I call my "yoga space", which holds a clearness that I hadn't experienced before. Daily practice brings me moments of bliss, connection to the cosmos, and starry-eyed wonder but learning to observe my reactions instead of lose myself to them has brought an incredible peace and clarity to my life.
