About Sky Dance: Experience the yoga of Lady Niguma, an Indian Yogini who lived in the Himalayan region of North India 1000 years ago. Lady Niguma’s sequence is the oldest known asana sequence to date (by 500 years). It is also the only ancient sequence known to have been created by a woman. Experience classical Tibetan and Indian postures in this challenging and graceful asana flow which is designed to open the chakras, loosen the knots (granthis) of the subtle body, and overcome negative emotions to become a vessel for wisdom and bliss. These are the prerequisites to being a Dakini, the sanskrit word for Sky Dancer.

Mahamudra  |  Saturday January 29  |  1:30pm - 3:30pm
Experience the True Nature of Your Mind Through Asana & Meditation | $50  | Highgate YYoga

The meditation object today is not the breath, but one’s own mind. Mahamudra is a classic meditation leading to an understanding of how our minds and feelings work, and what makes us experience the world the way that we do. Explore how cultivating such wisdom leads to happiness, grace, acceptance, peace, mental and physical flexibility & strength, control, vital energy, and the capacity to give more life and joy to others. We will engage in seated and moving meditations today drawing from classical Indian and Tibetan postures.

Mantra & Pranayama  |  Sunday January 30  |  2:00pm - 4:00pm

About Mantra & Pranayama: This workshop presents a classical sequence originally taught by Swami Gupta that will include a detailed description of the subtle body and the connection our thoughts, emotions and actions have to the flow of prana in our channels. Using such techniques to move prana into the Central Channel, Sushumna Nadi, ultimately leads to bliss and a clarity that allows one to see beyond illusions. Reema will share songs from her two mantra albums released by Nutone Music.
