Without it, we are nothing. It creates, heals, nurtures, replenishes and revitalizes. Even the human body is made of about 60% of this stuff. We each need 2-3 litres a day just to stay optimal and functional with tasks including brain function, exercise and even our yoga practice. What is it? Water!
Meet Our Community: Allie Low “When I first started doing yoga it was a huge physical challenge: I was not flexible, limber or strong. After several years of practicing, I was able to conquer the physical aspect of yoga and now the practice has become a way for me to relax and is very therapeutic for my mind and body. I try to take the positive energy from my yoga practice and live it out in my daily life. Yoga has changed my life; it has made me stronger physically and mentally. I have grown so much from my daily yoga practice both on and off the mat.”
It’s the last week before we gather with family and friends to open gifts and celebrate the season together! If you’ve left your shopping to the last minute, it’s also the week to run around and cross everyone off your gift list. We all know and love the yogis in our lives but let’s face it; they can be difficult to shop for! That is why we put together the perfect gift guide to please any yogi.
I came to yoga after leaving a competitive figure skating career because of injury. After trying everything to heal my back, yoga was the only physical activity that I could do. I soon fell in love with the asana practice for its similarity to skating with all the aspects of strength, balance and flexibility.
